Video Production in Albany & the Capital Region

Emotivo Productions is a video production company rooted in Albany. We produce business videos, nonprofit films, legacy films and real estate media for clients across the Capital Region, filming on location in Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady and Rensselaer counties.

Rooted in Albany since 2014

Emotivo’s founder, Juan Luis Lopez Fons, was born in Mexico City and moved to the U.S. in the mid-2000s to study filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in New York City, graduating in 2005. He went on to work on short films, independent and foreign films, large Hollywood productions and documentaries.

In 2014 he created Albany My Albany, an anthology of short films about established and up-and-coming artists in the Capital Region. That series became the inspiration for Emotivo Productions, which Juan Luis founded later the same year. More than a decade on, the work is still about the same thing: real people, told with care.

How a project works

We guide clients through every step, from concept development and filming to editing and final delivery.

  1. A conversation. Share a few details about your vision and goals through our contact form, and we’ll personally follow up to talk through next steps. No pressure, no obligation.
  2. Concept and planning. We shape the story: who should be on camera, what needs to be said, and where to film.
  3. Filming on location. We come to you, whether that’s an office, a job site, a home or an event venue.
  4. Editing. We craft the footage into a clear, cinematic story.
  5. Final delivery. You receive a finished video ready to share with your audience.
